The Faldo is currently the only 18-hole course in the region to offer “nightclubbing” (floodlit golf). Its central location means that you play with a backdrop of lit-up skyscrapers on some holes, then enjoy the solitude of a quiet night on others. The 10th sees you teeing off parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road and the Metro, with the glow of buildings looming over you, while the 15th is a serene amble in near silence.

Redesigned in 2005 by golf legend and six-time major winner Nick Faldo, the course now combines a stunning visual design with the nuances and challenges of any championship course in just the right measure, providing visitors an exceptionally enjoyable golfing experience. A natural wadi running the length of the course comes into play without being classified as a hazard.

Every hole, with the exception of the par-3 8th, involves water. This makes accurate driving a must, especially as Nick Faldo’s signature bunkering also indicates.

Whether you play 9 holes or 18, a round of night golf at The Faldo is a truly unique experience. With the lights of the Dubai Marina skyscrapers twinkling in the backdrop, the fairways are painted neon green under the lights and the holes take on an entirely different character.

Afterwards you can unwind at the relaxed Spike Bar on the Upper Floor at Emirates Golf Club. You have the option of sitting inside or outside on the terrace, overlooking the putting green.
